British luxury boat manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, is today celebrating one year since the all-new management team took over the boatyard.
Under the leadership of a highly experienced marine industry management team, the company has employed 227 people, launched two new models (the Targa 53 OPEN and Squadron 53), updated the interior finishes across the 48ft model range, added a hardtop option and new interior to the Squadron 65 and unveiled plans for two highly anticipated and completely new boats. These upcoming models are the Targa 43 OPEN and the Targa 63 GTO, both of which have been created by renowned Italian superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini.
Russell Currie comments, “This time last year I said that our focus will be on creating high quality luxury motor yachts that boaters want to own and dealers want to sell. In that time over 85 boats have been sold, including ten during the first hour of this year’s London Boat Show.
“Key to our success has been getting our partnerships right. Combining the creative flair and style of Alberto Mancini, the engineering excellence of Vripack and the exceptional quality and British craftsmanship we already had at Fairline makes for an exciting combination, which has secured a very positive future for the brand. We have also worked hard to strengthen our dealer network, appointing new dealers in key global yachting destinations including Hong Kong, the Middle East, Malta, Argentina, Benelux, Portugal and Denmark.
“I am proud of all that has been achieved by Fairline over the past 12 months, but we aren’t resting on our laurels. We are committed to building on the success of 2016 with continued growth of the dealer network and through launching beautifully designed, handcrafted yachts with cutting edge innovations. The Fairline brand is celebrating its 50th year in 2017 and we are honouring the anniversary with a host of Golden Moments, including the launch of the highly anticipated Targa 63 GTO at Cannes Yachting Festival in September. There is plenty more to look forward to from Fairline!”
