Three new Fairlines shortlisted in Motor Boat of the Year Awards 2018

Fairline Yachts is pleased to announce that 3 new models are finalists in the 2018 Motor Boat of the Year Awards. These prestigious awards are hosted by leading UK magazine Motorboat & Yachting and take place during the London boat show on January 10th.

Fairline has two models shortlisted in the “Sports Cruisers Over 45 Foot” category – the Targa 53 Open, which debuted at Southampton Boat Show 2016 and the Targa 63 GTO, the first yacht from the brand’s collaboration with world-renowned designer, Alberto Mancini and launched to global acclaim at Cannes Yachting Festival earlier this year. Also shortlisted, and in the highly competitive “Flybridge Up To 60 Foot” category, is the new Squadron 53.

Russell Currie, Managing Director of Fairline Yachts, comments, “This year has been Fairline’s 50th anniversary and what a year of celebration it has turned out to be! This is the latest in a year filled with award nominations and comes hot on the heels of us winning the International Dealer Development Award at the METSTRADE Boat Builder Awards last week and winning Best Exterior Design for our Targa 63 GTO in the 50-80ft yachts category at the highly coveted World Yachts Trophies in September. We are immensely proud of the entire Fairline team for their hard work and dedication, which makes being nominated for these world-class awards possible.”

The Motor Boat of the Year Awards are judged by the editorial team at Motor Boat & Yachting magazine purely on the boats’ design, ability and value in their respective market sectors. There are eight categories presented and all the boats shortlisted have been sea-trialled and rigorously tested by the magazine’s technical experts over the previous 12 months.
