Yesterday we said farewell to this Squadron 78, officially completing the series production of this range-topping model, to make way for an even larger new flagship Fairline, to be built at our new production facilities, Fairline Marine Park in Hythe, Southampton. The Fairline Squadron 78 has been in production for an incredible 15 years with 115 being manufactured during that time.
Russell Currie, Managing Director at Fairline Yachts, “The Squadron 78 is a yacht which offered power and style in abundance. It has had an amazing production run and has certainly paved the way for the next generation of large Squadron models. We look forward to sharing the details of our new flagship yacht in the near future.”
“Although Fairline’s larger yachts will be built on the South Coast, the future of the Oundle shipyard is secure with our workforce of highly skilled boat builders continuing to craft our smaller yacht range. With a brand-new Targa 43 Open due to be unveiled in September and the first of the all-new F-Line series, a 33 footer debuting in January 2019, Oundle’s future looks very busy indeed!”
