100th Employee Joins Fairline Yachts

The Fairline Yachts workforce continues to grow with the arrival of our 100th employee.

Carpenter, Giles Wheatley joins the expanding manufacturing team in Oundle, Northamptonshire.

Giles originally began his career with Fairline back in 2006 initially working in the parts department before making his way onto the manufacturing line, adding the final craftsmanship touches to the yachts before delivery to their new owners. Giles spent over 9 years with Fairline and also worked alongside his father, an engineer at the company.

He made his return to Fairline this month as the 100th employee to join and speaking with Giles he said “I always hoped I’d return to Fairline and I’m really happy to be back working with a great team of people. I’m straight back into it, working on a new yacht at its first stage of build so it’s definitely exciting times ahead”.

With Fairline Yachts looking toward its future Russell Currie the Managing Director said “I’m very pleased to welcome Giles back to Fairline, especially as his arrival marks a significant milestone, our 100th employee. The event is a clear demonstration of our stated intent to bring Fairline back to its rightful place in the global leisure marine market.
