Marinas 

Puerto Portals is the place to be seen in Mallorca. Originally designed to accommodate superyachts, the harbour has a total capacity of 670 moorings with sizes ranging from 8×3 metres to 80 metres L.O.A. Apart from its nautical character, Puerto Portals has become well known for its exclusivity and unparalleled choice of designer shops and luxurious holiday apartments surrounding the port. The marina is lined with trendy bars and a large variety of restaurants, making it a fun place to spend an evening celebrity-spotting.

West of the Bay of Palma is the attractive and well-protected marina of Santa Ponsa. It makes a welcome escape from the boats jostling for anchorage space in the bays along the coast in high season! The narrow harbour is bordered by green trees and the marina is well-equipped and even has live music in one of its restaurants on a Sunday. The very popular holiday resort of Santa Ponsa, along with its more infamous neighbours Palma Nova and Magaluf, are all part of the municipal district of Calvia on the south west coast of Mallorca approximately 20km, or 12 miles west of the capital Palma.

Palma has seven marinas, the most popular ones being Club de Mar, Real Club Nautico de Palma and Marina Port de Mallorca. All three of them sit next to each other along the Paseo Maritimo, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Club de Mar can accommodate vessels of up to 110m. Palma’s marinas are all well-equipped to deal with the 1,500 boats that are berthed there. There are usually visitors’ berths available but it is a good idea to phone ahead.

Port Adriano is situated in El Toro, Calvia, between the resorts of Magalluf and Santa Ponsa, approximately 30 minutes from Palma. Formerly a small fishing port, Port Adriano has been extensively rebuilt in the last 15 years providing modern facilities in an attractive setting. It has 404 moorings of between 6 and 18 metres in length, as well as the usual marine services, restaurants, yacht school and scuba diving shop. The current remodelling of the marina will incorporate new moorings of up to 60 metres in length, a new commercial area and parking.

Puerto de Andratx is a picturesque town only 25km from Palma with a long and enclosed bay and lush, green mountains rising up behind it. This pretty port is the place to go for a tranquil evening sipping sangria and eating paella. The excellent marina is run by the Club de Vela and is well sheltered on the northern side of the bay with excellent facilities. It has a capacity for over 300 moorings.
