Our Home Base
Situated in the vibrant Puerto Sotogrande, on the Spanish Costa del Sol, there’s so much to do locally! The modern, family-oriented marina itself has plenty to offer, with a truly international and diverse cultural base. It’s also a very safe environment, with lots of security and gated access to the marina and the whole Sotogrande Urbanisation, meaning your whole family can enjoy a great time when not on board your boat.
There are plenty of exciting bars and restaurants to explore inside the marina, which has a great community vibe to it. Locally there are places like Torreguadiaro and Pueblo Nuevo offering a fantastic choice of cafes, bars and restaurants with that Spanish café-culture, just a few minutes away by car.
Apart from the boating aspects and the cruising potential, there’s so much on offer making it the perfect boating base for your family.
Literally within a few minutes of stepping off your boat, you can be playing Tennis, Paddle or Golf… There are sailing schools for adults and kids alike, as well as a local water-sports centre for Paddle, Kayak, Laser Sailing for kids and so much more. We also have the fantastic Santa Maria Polo Club and the world-class Valderrama Golf Club within a few minutes of the marina, to name just two of the local clubs with their superb annual tournaments.
If those weren’t reasons enough to be talking about being based here with us, there are all the beautiful natural inland aspects of Andalucia to explore… Mountains, beaches, natural parks, historic pueblos, gastronomic routes and much more.
Facilities
The top-level facilities at Puerto Sotogrande boatyard include their 200-ton travel-lift, which can accommodate boats up to 35m, as well as a marina team used to dealing with boats up to 60m.
There are dry storage options and of course, we have access to a highly experienced team of service engineers and specialists, who can cover every aspect of maintenance.
We also have local RYA Schools and Instructors, should you wish to top-up your skills aboard your own new boat.
Cruising
Of course, there’s more than just our location and access to top-level boating facilities here… This is the perfect home base from which to explore the local cruising grounds.
Whether you choose to head east towards Murcia, or west to Portugal through the Straits of Gibraltar, you’ll find plenty to explore with our well-connected regional network of marinas. Enjoy a night out at one of the other local marinas, thanks to special deals we negotiate – enjoy a fun local cruise and spend the night somewhere else with a special berthing deal!
Then of course, there’s Gibraltar itself, with its superb new marina developments, plentiful bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as fuelling opportunities and tax-free shopping!
And less than 30 miles away, across the Straits, we have Africa – with a trip to explore Morocco via the Spanish enclave of Ceuta just a couple of hours away.
